A very thoughtful gift from my friend Gawain @360events.vr who received such items from Marcus’ Mum, Pat. Obviously, music and football are many people’s passions; for me, they rarely collide. Not quite like this anyway! I will assume that a 12 year old Marcus went to both legs of this 1983 Milk Cup Semi Final tie, at Anfield and then Turf Moor, to see his Burnley heroes take on my Liverpool heroes. I feel lucky to have talked life, music and football, while playing golf with Marcus on only a couple of occasions. It was a pleasure. Had my road bike fixed.. It’s been in the shed f Had my road bike fixed.. It’s been in the shed for the 15 months I’ve been furloughed. I now need for my sprints to The Lowry and back. Got to plug my man Neil at The Chain Link Bike Project. He operates every Thursday out of a container next to Blue Sky / well being centre on Seymour Grove, OT. It’s a proper community spirited venture, teaching bike repair / maintenance to locals. Really good prices too... For only £70 they replaced my cassette, chain, bottom bracket, brake pads & all cables - Neil sourced all parts, apparently some bike parts are very scarce at the mo! Two Thursday afternoons later and I’m good to go! 🚲😄 #chainlink #bikerepair #oldtrafford #stretford #manchester

My guy is self isolating again due to a case of ro My guy is self isolating again due to a case of rona at his nursery. This is his 4th or 5th time - I’ve lost count! He’s already missing his crew, who he calls “my boys”. It’s been shite for a 3.5 year old who just wants to check out his pals’ bedrooms and play with their toys. I remember it was always a buzz to go to your mates house cos they had different Star Wars toys to yours. So Ben is with me for most of his waking minutes this week. I took him to Chorlton Water Park today where he smashed 2 laps of the lake on his bike. I couldn’t keep up! Don’t tell mummy, or his vegetarian sister, but I then treated him to a “hand burger” at “Old Mac Donald’s”. We dined in the car, where I put him straight on burgers.... it’s a hamburger, not a hand burger, but it’s not ham, it’s beef. Also, a cheese burger is not just cheese, there’s beef in there too. So he scoffed my cheese burger, while I ate his hand burger. Today was a good day. ♥️ 🚲🍔😄
Thanks to coronavirus / lockdown, I’ve taken up Thanks to coronavirus / lockdown, I’ve taken up playing the guitar again. I found myself looking back to the music I loved before I caught the DJ bug... Metallica, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Oasis, The Verve, etc etc. 23 years ago I sold all my guitars, amps and pedals to buy a new DJ mixer. Ironically, I just sold a DJ mixer to get these guitars - including Nina’s little eleccy on the left. We are gonna learn together - pinkie promise! & to myself to use my pinkie properly this time! #guitar #learnings

The cover image was created by pasting small cutout humanoid shapes onto a monitor and pointing a camera at it to create video feedback, infinitely multiplying the shapes. Byrne said of the process: "Somehow, despite it being very techie, these techniques also seemed analogous to what we were doing on the record. It was funky as well as being techie. This is very happening now! Cream ‘Disraeli Gea This is very happening now! Cream ‘Disraeli Gears’ 1967. My mother’s own copy. Released 10 years before my arrival. My Ma was an art student in Liverpool, “with legs up to her armpits, and hobnail boots!” - my Dad. So this record was in our hi-fi cabinet from day one! I returned to look at this sleeve time and time again. To me, visually, it was like nothing else on earth; pre-rave, hi-vis-day-glow-fluorescent-iridescence, that I could hold in my hand. It was this luminous slice of psychedelic 60s that resided in our living room! Utter deep, confusing, heavy rock, like nothing else at that time. This copy is well worn. But like my mate Harry says, that just adds to the charm of a piece of tangible family vinyl...
