As with all Stretch bookings we’ve hired Richard, Jason and Mike because they love their music. The links below feature some very interesting and revealing interviews that underline a common knowledge and obsession for the music that these guys collect and play.

Through nights like Aficionado and Night Music, these three gents are known mostly for engineering soundtracks to suit more laid-back social settings, but trust us when we say that they know how to move a dance floor with as equally engaging and groovy sounds drawn from many musical movements. So it’s going to be a pleasure having Moonboots, Jason and Mike grace the Band on the Wall sound system with their top selections!

Moonboots:

“He’s a music lover of all kinds and if any DJ can have me standing on a table in the middle of a club, singing along to Duran Duran’s ‘Save a Prayer’ at the top of my voice, it’s him. He’s got this ability to pluck random music out and make it fit; he’s a vibe master (and a noted Balearic connoisseur) as well as being a bit of a wanker at the same time.”
– Marcus Intalex

Jason Boardman:

“In a recording and DJing career spanning over 20 years Jason has been resident at seminal clubs such as Yellow, the Hacienda and Hard Times. Whilst making regular appearances at the Electric Chair and filling up his passport playing in more countries than we care to mention.” – Eighty Six

Balearic Mike:

“The definition of a DJ’s DJ. He lives and breathes music. He would eat it too but he prefers pizza. Having first made his name back in the 90s under the umbrella of the Luv Dup crew in Manchester, Mike has gone on to become a channel for the spirits of Ron Hardy, Larry Levan, Daniele Baldelli and Vangelis. Mike’s knowledge of disco, Italo, Balearic and house is unparalleled but he matches this with an uncanny ability to read a crowd and give em what they want.” – We Love Life
